Your Place or Mine – February 10

Your Place or Mine stars Reese Witherspoon and Ashton Kutcher! The synopsis of the upcoming Netflix movie reads as follows: “Debbie and Peter are best friends, but also complete opposites. She craves routine with her son in Los Angeles, where he likes change in New York. However, when the two swap homes for a week, they get a glimpse into each other’s lives. And that action just might open the door to love!”

Luther: The Fallen Sun – March 10

Idris Elba is back as Luther! The brilliant London detective (full name: John Luther) can’t get the unsolved murder that has haunted him out of his mind and escapes from prison, hoping to track down the sadistic serial killer.

Murder Mystery 2 – March 31

Your favorite detective couple, Audrey (Jennifer Aniston) and Nick (Adam Sandler), return to Netflix. When one of their friends is kidnapped, even at his own wedding, the two of them investigate. However, they soon become entangled in an international conspiracy.

The Mother – May 12

Jennifer Lopez is not only known as a singer, but also as an actress. Except she’s never played an assassin before! That will change with the release of the Netflix film The Mother, in which Lopez is a true killer. On the run from dangerous enemies, she leaves her hiding place to protect the daughter she left behind years earlier…

Extraction June 2 – June 16

Chris Hemsworth seemed to die at the end of the first Extraction film, but in Extraction 2 he has risen from the afterlife. This time Tyler Rake (the character who plays ‘Thor’) must penetrate one of the most dangerous prisons in the world in order to save a family threatened by a Georgian mob boss!

Heart of Stone – August 11

Gal Gadot is Wonder Woman, but soon also veteran CIA agent Rachel Stone. She turns out to be the only person standing between her powerful global peacekeeping organization and the loss of her most valuable and dangerous asset. That may sound a bit vague and it is! Well, she soon becomes embroiled in a mysterious conspiracy.

Damsel – October 13

Millie Bobby Brown stars in Enola Holmes, she stars in Stranger Things, but her Netflix career is far from over. She also plays the leading role in Damsel, that of Princess Elodie. She is under the impression that she is going to marry a prince, but to her great surprise she is ‘married off’ to a dragon. And of course she doesn’t just let that happen.

Pain Hustlers – October 27

Pain Hustlers is about a woman, Liza Drake (played by Emily Blunt), who never graduated from high school but wants to create a better life for her daughter and herself. That’s why she starts working in a very poorly running pharmacy. Through her charm, guts and drive she manages to achieve some success within the company, but then she has to deal with a criminal collaboration, with bloody consequences.

The Killer – Nov. 10

Often actors are the poster child of a movie, but sometimes you just have to mention the director. And in the case of The Killer, that is David Fincher, previously responsible for Se7en and Mindhunter, among others. This upcoming Netflix movie is based on Alexis Nolent’s comic books about a lone assassin who isn’t exactly haunted by his conscience. He waits in the shadows, looking for his new prey. But slowly he gets the feeling that he is going crazy…

A Family Affair – Nov. 17

The synopsis of A Family Affair reads: “An unexpected romance has comedic consequences for a young woman, her mother and her boss, who grapple with the complications of love, sex and identity.” Furthermore, not much is known about this Netflix film, except that Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron (and also Joey King) play the leading roles.

Rebel Moon – December 22

Rebel Moon is directed by none other than Zack Snyder! A peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy is threatened by an army led by a tyrant named Balisarius. The colony’s desperate inhabitants then call upon a young woman with an unknown past. She is given a mission: she must look for warriors who want to take on Balisarius and his followers.
