International Beyoncé Day at Club NYX, Amsterdam

This meeting place on Reguliersdwarsstraat is one of the rare clubs in Amsterdam that is still reminiscent of the open-minded 80s and 90s in the capital. A melting pot of all cultures, subcultures and sexual preferences is the normal standard here.

Once a year, the club is filled with Beyoncé fans, in all keys. Chris and Marjan portrayed some of them during International Beyoncé Day. With the key question: what makes Queen B so special?

“I’ve been giving an annual Beyoncé party for five years now. It’s kind of an unofficial pre-party for this party. She is the greatest entertainer alive. I really like the way she makes music, how she makes art, how she lives her life. And I’m also a big fan of marketing. I wish I had that grain of thought, how she positions herself in the music world and in the world itself.”
